Minecraft Level Design & Engineering

In our most popular class for this age group, students learn the ins and outs of level design and game design while learning to engineer in Minecraft by using Red Stone. Students even learn basic code commands too! This class offers thrills AND education alike as students explore their inner Da Vinci in a STEM format perfect for Minecraft lovers!!

Adventures in Programming

Ages 6-10

Grade 1-2; 3-5

Students adventure through code as they begin with game design, move on to basic java script art, and enjoy python games. No prior typing experience or coding experience required. Sculpt your coding muscles in this adventure and leave having learned to code!!

REV Robots

Ages 6-10

Grade 2-4

Can you say Lego Mindstorms? Students can't get enough of hands-on building with legos! We build and program 3-5 bots throughout the week. Students are challenged as they program their bots to traverse fun courses with challenges. Get ready for multiple REV Robot Battle competitions every week!!

MathCraft

Ages 6-10

Grade 1-2; 3-5

Can you say win win?! MathCraft is the class where both parents and students truly win as parents get to watch their students thrilled to do math! This class is a must for any parents who want their kids to enjoy math more and learn math more deeply. Students actually build math problems inside the game of Minecraft, and solve them using our one-of-a-kind, amazing MathCraft program. CodeREV is currently training teachers across America in this program, and even presenting this ground breaking class at the renowned ISTE EdTech conference this summer!

Game Design

Ages 8-10

Grade 3-5

Enter the world of Game Design, where students build amazing games. Students create mulit-level games and learn to use programming concepts such as local and global variables, and the basics of object-oriented programming. Modding in Minecraft Game Design

Ages 10-14

Grade 2-4; 4-8

Students will create powerful teleporting swords, humorous blocks, amazing mobs, bows that shoot arrows that summon ender dragons, entire worlds, and other insane items, all through the power of Java programming! App Creators

Ages 10-14

Grade 4-6; 7-9

In this amazing class, students unleash their inner app development skills as they progress through the app development process in a fun, easy to code format. Students plan, design, and create their own apps that can then be run on the web, and can even be published on android phones and tablets.

Video Game Development

Ages 10-14

Grade 5-8

Enter the world of Game Design, where students build amazing games. Students create multi-level games and learn to use programming concepts such as local and global variables, and the basics of object-oriented programming. 3D Modeling and Animation

Ages 10-14

Grade 4-9

Think Shrek, Lord of the Rings, the recent Star Wars - what do these blockbuster hits have in common? They all unleash the power of 3D animation with Maya. Let your child unleash her inner Da Vinci or Michelangelo, with this amazing class. Students learn to build 3D models of whatever they can imagine, and then animate them!! Wild Web Design

Ages 10-14

Grade 4-8

Students create their own unique websites from the ground up, using html, CSS, and JavaScript. They can design their website about whatever interests them: a hobby, a business, a social impact cause, or their friends and family. Point is, they learn to code something useful and interesting and have fun in the process. They also gain the skills of learning to think like a developer as they design and plan their site based on user interaction. They even get to host their site using a CMS at the end of the class, and can take their site home to continue working on it on their own, and show off to friends and family!

Unity 3D Game Development

Ages 10-14

Grade 5-9

Game Lovers and Creators Unite with Unity 3D! Unity is our most advanced camp at CodeREV, through which students learn to control and create apps and games with this pro software. Students learn intro C# (C-sharp), as they code their creations to do what they want in their 3D worlds! Check out our Game Design video reel of student work!

Roblox Studio Game Design with VR

Ages 7-10

Grade 2-5

Roblox is one of the hottest places on the universe to make games, with cutting edge graphics and new, amazing, game building tools. In our Roblox Game Design course, kids use Roblox’s built-in editor to create 3D worlds and then use the popular LUA coding language to code game actions, elements and mechanics. Younger campers use built in AI to code their games without the need for text-based code. CodeREV Roblox campers also learn how to publish and share their game to the Roblox community world-wide!
