3D Animation with Maya

Get creative with Maya, the 3D software used in Frozen and Halo 4. Students model and move characters, objects, and environments as they learn essential animation skills. Construct simple scenes like your own room to more complex objects like a futuristic freeze ray! Whatever your imagination can dream up, we will make it!

For our artistically inclined students, these programs are extremely fun and instructive. Students learn this industry program used in Lord of the Rings, Shrek, the new Star Wars, and more through hands-on instruction. Once they master the basics, things get real as students can choose to incorporate whatever they love and enjoy. First, students learn to use the controls for the 3D professional program, Maya. Next, students explore unique Maya curriculum in which our certified Maya instructor teaches the class how to build an entire 3D room complete with lighting, textures, and shadows. Finally, students then work on their own projects and allow their imaginations to go wild as they create what they want building from the skills and tools they have learned. They then learn to animate aspects of these wonderful projects to bring their creations to life!!

Students enjoy 2 outside breaks with highly supervised and highly fun outdoor activities in the park across the street. Bring your own lunch. Snacks and drinks provided.
